DISASTER DAVE SAVES THE DAY
Join the amazing super-hero, Disaster Dave and his fearless crew of scientists as they train a new generation of students about HURRICANE & TORNADO preparedness. Although natural disasters cannot be prevented, their severity can be lessened through personal preparation and community mitigation. This multi-media show teaches preparation methods that young people can understand like making an emergency supply kit with food, water, first aid supplies, flashlights and medications. Dave’s crew also explains the importance of community mitigation including strengthening buildings, bridges and dams, and making effective community response teams. Through the clever use of music, videos and scientific demonstrations, Disaster Dave and his team will encourage students to gain a greater respect for hurricanes and tornado’s, causing a long term mentality of personal responsibility. Science has never been so much fun!
